Normal blood mononuclear cells activated by mixed lymphocyte reaction and cultured for 10 days in medium containing IL-2.
CD61 (GPIIIa) is a glycoprotein found on megakaryocytes, platelets and their precursors. CD61 antigen plays a role in platelet aggregation and also as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronection, von Willebrand factor and vitronectrin. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry and Inhibition. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunocytochemistry: Acetone fixation Immunoprecipitation: Immunoprecipites a complex of the CD41 and CD61, 105kD reduced and 90kD unreduced (prelabelled surface proteins). Inhibition of platelet aggregation: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
