E-Selectin, also known as Endothelial Leukocyte Adhesion Molecule 1 (ELAM-1), and Leukocyte Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule 2 (LECAM-2), has been designated CD62E. It is a cell surface glycoprotein expressed by activated endothelium and it mediates the adhesion of blood neutrophils. E-Selectin and P-Selectin are related (44% aa sequence identity). P-Selectin occurs on activated platelets and endothelial cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: APC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
