CD62L cell surface antigen is a 150kD glycoprotein also known as L-selectin. CD62L is expressed by B and T lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes. CD62L plays an important role in leucocyte tethering and rolling on the endothelial cell surface and for the homing of naive lymphocytes to lymph nodes and Peyers patches via HEV. Neutrophils require a constant supply of this molecule on the cell surface for migration into peripheral tissues and adhesion to activated endothelium at sites of inflammation, where CD62L is rapidly shed as soluble L-selectin, but surface expression still remains. The expression of CD62L is down regulated on lymphocytes and neutrophils by PMA stimulation. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat, 10ul labels 10e6 cells or 100ul whole blood. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Hybridoma: NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C before and after reconstitution. DO NOT FREEZE! Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months at 4C after receipt. Reconstitute lyophilized powder with sterile ddH2O prior to use and store remainder as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
