CD62P is a 140 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as P-Selectin, platelet activation-dependent granule membrane protein (PADGEM), or GMP-140. It is expressed on activated platelets, megakaryocytes, and endothelial cells. CD62 is primarily stored in secretory alpha-granules in platelets and Weibel-Palade bodies in endothelial cells and is rapidly relocated to the plasma membrane upon activation. The ligands for CD62P are CD162 and CD24. A primary function of CD62P is cell adhesion during neutrophil rolling, platelet-neutrophil, and platelet-monocyte interactions. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 0.5ug/10e6 cells in 100ul Immunohistochemistry: Acetone-fixed frozen tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
