CD80, also known as BB1/B7-1, is a 60kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors. It is expressed on activated B cells, T cells, monocytes and dendritic cells. It is a ligand of the two T cell costimulatory molecules, CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4). The interaction of CD80 (or CD86) with CD28 provides a costimulatory signal for T cells activated through the CD3/TCR complex. Transfectant Cell Line: CHO Functional Application: CD80-muIg fusion protein blocks binding of anti-human CD80 to human tumor cells. Human CD80-muIg/Biotin Fusion Protein* Molecular Structure: A soluble dimeric fusion protein consisting of the extracellular (173aa) domain of human CD80 fused to murine IgG2a Fc + hinge (232 aa). Predicted monomeric molecular weight: 51.3kD. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
