Mouse macrophage cell lines
CD301 is a 38kD single chain surface glycoprotein and is found on murine mature macrophages in the connective tissue neighboring epithelia of e.g. salivary glands, capsule of lymph nodes, thymus and various other organs. CD301 is present on the surface of connective tissue macrophages and their precursor cells in bone marrow. Also, CD301 is expressed in macrophage cell lines (e.g. J774-1.6, RAW309Cr.1 and WR19M.1). Expression levels of CD301 are increased in mature macrophages. The antigen is coexpressed with the antigen recognized by monoclonal antibody BM8. Blocking studies demonstrated that the monoclonal antibody is able to block mouse CD301. The antigen is glutaraldehyde (0.05%) resistant. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry and Inhibition Studies. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:50 Flow Cytometry: 1:50 Inhibition Studies: Dilutions have to be made according to the amounts of CD301 to be inactivated. For blocking studies in vitro, dilutions have to be made according to the amounts of MGL to be inactivated. The antigen is glutaraldehyde (0.05%) resistant. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
