The major pathway for the biosynthesis of phosphatidylcholine occurs via the CDP-choline pathway. Choline kinase alpha is the initial enzyme in the sequence and may play a regulatory role. This protein also catalyzes the phosphorylation of ethanolamine. The antibody for this protein recognizes both isoforms. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
