Applicatons: Suitable for use as a Coating material for cell culture studies, Formation of collagen gels, a Type VI collagen standard, an Antigen for antibody production. Recommeded Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stabilty: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Purity:
~90% (SDS-PAGE). Collagen is extracted by controlled and limited pepsin digestion, followed by selective salt precipitation.
