Immunogen: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa497-573 from mouse Collagen Type XVII with GST-fusion protein.
COL18A1 is encoding the alpha chain of type XVIII collagen. This collagen is one of the multiplexins, extracellular matrix proteins that contain multiple triple-helix domains (collagenous domains) interrupted by non-collagenous domains. The proteolytically produced C-terminal fragment of type XVIII collagen is endostatin, a potent antiangiogenic protein. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Staining of type XVII collagen in frozen sections of mouse skin. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Mouse skin Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
