Complement serum is prepared from pooled guinea pig plasma. Hemolytic titer (CH50 units per ml) is determined by method of Kabat and Mayer. Minimum 80 CH50 units per ml. Immunoelectrophoresis: Normal pH: Normal Hemoglobin: Normal Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -70C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -70C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Supplied as a light orange to red lyophilized powder. Reconstitute with 5ml ice cold ddH2O. Centrifuge product at 4C if not completely clear.
