Factor B is a serine protease of the alternative pathway of the complement system. The amino acid sequence of human factor B is 85% identical to that of rat and mouse. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit is ~5ng/lane under non-reducing conditions. Use of reducing conditions is not recommended. Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml immunoprecipitates recombinant human Factor B from conditioned cell culture medium. Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, The detection limit is ~2ng/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
