Product Description

The Connexin gene family encodes the protein subunits of gap junction channels. The gap junction channels permit ions, nucleotides, and small molecules up to 1200 daltons to pass between cells. Gap junctions have been suggested to be involved in metabolic cooperation between cells, synchronization of cellular physiological activities, growth control, and developmental regulation. C7853-02D, -02E, -02F are affinity purified from serum. Antibodies C7853-02A, C, D, F recognize human connexin. AntibodiesC7853-02A-F recognize mouse and rat connexin. Applications: C7853-02A, B, D, E, F are suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. C7853-02C is suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.1-1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 1-5ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 1-5ug Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml Controls: C7853-02G:15ul per lane for C7853-02A and C7853-02D on Nitrocellulose membrane. C7853-02G: 5ul per lane for C7853-02A and C7853-02D on PVDF membrane. C7853-02H:20ul per lane for C7853-02C Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing of antibodies, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquot controls and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
