Immunogen:
A 17 amino acid peptide sequence within the 2nd cytoplasmic domain of the rat Cx31 (KLH).
Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-10ug/ml using ECL. An antibody raised against a GST-fusion has been shown to recognize ~31kD band in skin (3). ELISA: 1:100K using 50-100ng CX31 control peptide/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: C7853-61D Connexin 31, Mouse, Control Peptide (CX31, Gap Junction Beta 3 Protein, CXB-3). Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
