Corazonin is a highly conserved neuropeptide hormone from insects, having cardioacceleratory function. Corazonin (from corazon, Spanish for heart) is produced by lateral brain neurosecretory cells projecting to the corpora cardiaca-corpora allata complex and in neurons of the ventral nerve cord. Amino Acid Sequence (linear): Pyr-Thr-Phe-Gln-Tyr-Ser-Arg-Gly-Trp-Thr-Asn-NH2 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute to nominal volume (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
