Product Description

Dextrose agar is used for the culture of microorganisms with or without added blood. Supplementation with 5% blood provides additional growth factors for fastidious microorganisms. When pH is lowered to 3.5 medium can be used to obtain total counts of yeasts in food. Appearance: Light to dark tan, homogeneous, freeflowing.
