Bromcresol purple is used as a pH indicator. When isolating thermophilic bacteria use 55C as a plating temperature. Storage and Stability: Store powdered media at 4C. Opened bottles should be capped tightly. Protect it from moisture and light. Prepared media should be kept at 4C and used within a short period of time. Appearance: Light greenish-beige, homogeneous, free flowing powder.
