pUC19 DNA is isolated from E. coli (dam+, dcm+). The molecule is a double-stranded closed circular high copy plasmid, 2686 base pairs in length. GenBank/EMBL accession number L09137. pUC19 is identical to pUC18 except that the polylinker is inserted in the opposite orientation. pUC19 DNA has a molecular weight of 1.74x10e6 daltons. Storage and Stability: Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
