Recombinant Protein A covalently bound to agarose by alkylamine linkage. Sonicated salmon sperm DNA blocks non-specific DNA binding sites on protein A agarose when collecting immunocomplexes for chromatin immunoprecipitations (ChIPs assays). Applications: Suitable for use in Chromatin Immunoprecipitation. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by researcher. Quality Control: Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: 80ul of gel slurry pre-cleared a chromatin solution and subsequently 60ul immunoprecipitated DNA cross-linked to acetylated histones using H5110-13A1: Histone H3, acetylated (Lys9, Lys14). Testing was performed in conjunction with H5110-21: Histone H4, acetylated, Immunoprecipitation Assay Kit, BioAssay(TM). This agarose was also tested with H5110-13Y: Histone H3, acetylated, Immunoprecipitation Assay Kit, BioAssay(TM). Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
