Recombinant Protein G covalently bound to agarose by cyanogen bromide linkage. Sonicated salmon sperm DNA blocks nonspecific DNA binding sites on protein G agarose when collecting immunocomplexes for Chromatin Immunoprecipitations (ChIP assays). Applications: Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: 80ul of this lot of gel slurry pre-cleared supernatant from sodium butyrate treated HeLa cells. Subsequently, 60ul of this lot immunoprecipitated DNA cross-linked to acetylated histones using anti-Acetyl Histone H3, ChIP Grade. Testing was performed in conjunction with the Acetyl Histone H3 ChIP Assay Kit. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
