Biotin-labeled Nucleotides are used for non-fluorescent labeling of nucleic acids in purification and detection applications. Applications: Suitable for use in DNA labeling by PCR with taq polymerase, DNA labeling by nick translation with DNase I, DNA labeling by primer extention with Klenow 3-5 exo-, 3 end DNA labeling with terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT), cDNA labeling by reverse transcription with Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus Reverse Transcriptase. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Spectroscopic Properties: Wavelength max: 240/289nm Extinction coefficient: 10.7/7.11 mmol-1 cm-1 (Tris-HCl, pH 7.5) Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
