Synthetic (linear) peptide (YAEPQKSPWCEARSLEHT) corresponding to amino acids 54-71 of rat and mouse estrogen receptor b and amino acids 46-63 of human estrogen receptor b. Applications: Peptide Inhibition Assay: Pre-incubation of 1mg/ml anti-ERbeta with either 1, 5 or 10mM of peptide reduced detection of ERbeta in RIPA lysates of LNCap cells in an immunoblot assay. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute to nominal volume (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
