Glucose 5 transporter catalyses the uptake of D-fructose into cells. This 55kD protein is expressed in the plasma membrane and is found mainly in intestinal tissue, kidney, and spermatozoa. Increased intestinal levels of GLUT5 are seen in type 2 diabetes Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:8000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
