Glutaredoxin(GRX), also known as thioltransferase, is member of the thiol-disulfide oxidoreductase family. Glutraredoxin catalyzes the reversible reduction of protein-glutathionyl mixed disulfides to free sulfhydryl groups though a monothiol mechanism. Glutaredoxin-3 (Grx3/PICOT) is an essential protein involved in the regulation of signal transduction, for instance during immune cell activation and development of cardiac hypertrophy, presumably in response to redox signals. And it has been shown to interact with PRKCQ. Recombinant human Glutaredoxin-3, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-335 of human Glutaredoxin-3 6x His tagged expressed in E. coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
