GAPDH is a major glycolytic enzyme within the cytosol, which is also involved in a number of intracellular processes including membrane fusion, microtubule bundling, phosphotransferase, DNA replication and DNA repair. Recent studies have suggested that GAPDH may be involved in the cellular phenotype of age-related neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimers and Huntingtons disease. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires antigen retrival using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6 is recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Histology Positive Control Tissue: Human liver tissue Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
