GM-CSF is a hematopoietic growth factor that stimulates the development of neutrophils and macrophages, and promotes the proliferation and development of early erythroid megakaryocytic and eosinophilic progenitor cells. It is produced by endothelial cells, monocytes, fibroblasts and T-lymphocytes. GM-CSF inhibits neutrophil migration and enhances the functional activity of the mature end-cells. The human and murine molecules are species-specific and exhibit no cross-species reactivity. Recombinant rat GM-CSF is a 14.5kD globular protein consisting of 128 amino acid residues. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
98% (SDS-PAGE gel and HPLC). Endotoxin: 0.1ng/ug (<1EU/ug)
Form:
Supplied as a lyophilized powder without additives. Reconstitute in sterile ddH2O, 0.1% BSA or HSA to 0.1mg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
