Recombinant porcine Growth Hormone is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 190 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21.73kD. Sequence: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Phe-Pro-Ala-Met-Pro. Dimers and Aggregates: 1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis. Biological Activity: 3units/mg Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. For long-term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
