The protein is derived from HCV-1a and made in yeast cells as a fusion with human superoxide dismutase (SOD). It covers Asp 1569 to Pro 1931 of the HCV polyprotein. It is equivalent to the C-100 antigen. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Reacts in ELISA with serum from HCV positive individuals. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
