The E.coli derived 19 kD recombinant protein Biotin labeled contains the HCV NS4 immunodominant regions, amino acids 1658-1863. The protein is fused with b-galactosidase (114 kD) at N-terminus. Specificity: Immunoreactive with sera of HCV-infected individuals. Applications: Recombinant HCV NS4 Antigen may be used in ELISA and Western Blot, excellent for detection of HCV with minimal specificity problems. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
