Recombinant protein corresponding to aa3-190 of the HIV-1 nef protein, expressed in E. coli. Fusions: beta-galactosidase (114kD) fused at the N-terminus. Specificity: Reacts strongly with human HIV positive serum. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
