Recombinant HIV-2 (Rod) core p26 protein is produced as a Glutathione S-transferase (GST) fusion protein in E.coli Identity: Shows binding to HIV-2 p26 specific murine monoclonal antibody by ELISA and Western Blot. Does not show binding to HIV-1 p24 specific murine monoclonal antibodies of defined epitope specificity by ELISA and Western Blot. Specificity: Binds to HIV-2 converted human serum polyclonal antibodies as determined by ELISA and Western Blot. Does not bind to HIV-1 converted human serum antibodies as determined by Dot Blot, ELISA assays. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 10-100ng Western Blot: 100-500ng Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
