Recombinant ecto-domain of HIV-2 gp36. Contains a 6 histidine fusion partner. Reacts with HIV-2 positive human sera and monoclonal antibodies as determined by ELISA and Western Blot. Major immunospecific band at 14kD, minor bands at 5, 16, 18, 28 and 42kD. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
