Full length Recombinant HIV-2 (ROD) gp105 glycoprotein produced in the Baculovirus Expression System. Biological Activity: Binds to human T-cell receptor CD4, albeit with lower affinity compared to HIV-1 gp120. This protein activates human T-Lymphocytes (CD4+, CD4-), in vitro, as measured by RNA synthesis during G0 to G1 transition phase of antigen-binding competent cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, CD4 Binding, Drug Screening, and T-cell activation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot:10-100ng ELISA: 1:1000 Human serum polyclonal antibodies yield titers of 10-100ng of immobilized protein under standard ELISA conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for 6 months.
