Applications: Suitable for use as an antigen or ligand in immunochemical reactions, as a control or standard in assays, for conjugation and most other immunological methods requiring highly purified immunoglobulins. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile water and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Purity:
Purified by delipidation, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography followed by papain digestion and extensive dialysis. IEP Assay by immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-sheep serum, anti-sheep IgG and anti-sheep IgG F(ab)2. No reaction was observed against anti-sheep IgG F(c) or anti-papain.
Form:
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.01% sodium azide. No stabilizing proteins added.
