Influenza virus is a single-stranded RNA virus, segmented, 70nm diameter, and enveloped. Strains are described by geographic origin, strain number, year of isolation and hemagglutination (H) and neuraminidase (N) antigens. It is an acute viral disease of the uper respiratory tract characterized by fever, headache, chills, myalgia, weakness, runny nose and sore throat. Cough can be severe. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Immunofluorescence, Hemagglutinin Inhibition and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use.
