Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by Influenza A or B viruses and is commonly called ''the Flu. Influenza viruses are spread from person to person via respiratory droplets of coughs and sneezes. Every year, in the United States, millions of people get sick with the Flu. This infection occurs predominantly during winter and causes approximately 36,000 deaths on an average and 114,000 hospitalizations each year. The highest rate of influenza infection is seen in school children. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 0.1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Recombinant Influenza A Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
