Bovine Interferon gamma (IFN gamma) is produced by T lymphocytes and NK cells. IFN gamma has numerous immunological regulatory functions, including macrophage activation, upregulation of MHC class I and II molecules on various cells, and induction of cytotoxicity. Recombinant protein expressed in Pichia pastoris and purified by ion-exchange chromatography. Swiss/UniProt Accession: P07353. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: Used as a standard in a sandwich ELISA assay in conjunction with clone CC330 (I7661-68L) and clone CC302 (I7661-68J3) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, and 0.1% carrier protein. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
