Interleukin 4 (IL-4) plays an important role in the immune response. This cytokine promotes Th2 cell development and is essential for the induction of B-cell isotype switching to IgE antibody production. Recombinant protein corresponding to bovine Interleukin 4, expressed in pichia pastoris Biological Activity: IL-4 has an ED50 in the range 20-50 ng/ml determined by measuring the effect of recombinant equine IL-4 on the proliferation of TF-1 cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and In vitro applications. Other applications not tested. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
