Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse IL-17, expressed in E. coli.
Mouse interleukin-17 (IL-17/IL-17A), a disulfide-linked homodimer and member of the IL-17 family, secreted primarily by activated CD4+ T cells, which signals through the IL-17 receptor (IL-17R). IL-17 induces a variety of target cells to secrete inflammatory cytokines, including IL-1beta, IL-6, TNFalpha, IFNgamma and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor, as well as synergizing with other inflammatory cytokines and agonists. Increased levels of IL-17 are detectable during transplant rejection, and also during rheumatoid arthritis, possibly contributing to bone destruction. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
