A fluorescent sulfhydryl reagent which is sensitive to photo catalyzed degradation in both aqueous solution and organic solvents. It readily reacts with both thiol compounds and sulfhydryl groups to provide photo stable covalent derivatives. Melting Point: 198-200C Solubility: At least 0.05M in phosphate buffer at pH 7 DMF, DMSO Storage and Stability: May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
