MCP-1 is a member of the CC subfamily of chemokines. MCP-1 is a pro-inflammatory cytokine which acts both as an activation factor for monocytes and as chemokine for monocytic cells. The antibody inhibits the biological activity of natural and recombinant human MCP-1. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. ELISA Matched Pair: Detection: M1203-03B Capture: M1203-03A Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
