Immunogen: CHO cells expressing mouse MARCO.
MARCO is expressed by distinct populations of macrophages in the spleen and lymph nodes, but is rapidly induced on macrophages in other tissues (e.g. Liver Kupffer cells) during infection or LPS treatment. Clone ED31 binds to the C-terminal cysteine rich domain of MARCO, and has been shown to block ligand binding. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Not suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from immunized rats. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
