MaxLight(TM)490 is a new Blue-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to DyLight(TM)488, Alexa Fluor(TM)488 and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (491nm), Emission (515nm), Extinction Coefficient 73,000. MARCO is expressed by distinct populations of macrophages in the spleen and lymph nodes, but is rapidly induced on macrophages in other tissues (e.g. Liver Kupffer cells) during infection or LPS treatment. Clone ED31 binds to the C-terminal cysteine rich domain of MARCO, and has been shown to block ligand binding. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Not suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from immunized rats. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight(TM)490 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
