Immunogen:
Recombinant protein corresponding to human MCP-2, expressed in E. coli.
MCP-2 acts as a chemoattractant for monocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils and basophils, due to its ability to bind to the common MCP receptor, chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 2 (CCR2), and also CCR1 and CCR3. Proteolytic cleavage of MCP-2 into the NH2-terminally truncated form, MCP-2 (6-76), results in the loss of chemotactic activity, forming a functional C-C chemokine inhibitor, which may be important during inflammatory responses. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
