The Mediator is a multiprotein coactivator required for activation of RNA polymerase II transcription by DNA binding transcription factors. The MED10 has been assigned to the middle domain of Mediator and it interacts physically with the carboxy-terminal domain (CTD) of largest RNA polymerase II subunit according to electron microscopic data. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blotting. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1: 8000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
