This a standard is prepared from a patient that lacks any immunoglobulins in the milk. The concentration was measured by ELISA with a purified human SC as a primary standard. This standard M3896-84J has been tested and found negative for HbsAg and antibodies to HIV (HTLVIII). Free Secretory Component: 0.82mg/ml Applications: Suitable for use as a calibrator to prepare standard curves in quantitative determinations of human free secretory component. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
