NGF is important for the development, differentiation, and survival of variety of neuronal and non-neuronal cells. Its action is mediated by binding two distinct receptors, the high affinity p140 and low affinity p75. Antibodies to NGF receptor may play a role in the identification of benign and malignant soft tissue lesions. The expression of human nerve growth factor (NGF) receptor in tumors and normal tissue was investigated with the use of a monoclonal antibody recently developed against that protein. Source: CHO cells Biological Activity: The human NGF receptor extracellular domain is able to bind NGF. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Reconstitute to with sterile dH2O or buffer, aliquot and store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
