Nectin-1, also called PVRL1, PRR1, Vec C, CD111, HveC and HigR, is an adhesion molecule widely expressed in cell lines of different lineages, including hematopoietic cells, neuronal cells, endothelial and epithelial cells. Nectin-1 belongs to a new family of immunoglobulin-like molecules that includes four members (Nectin-1, -2, -3 and CD155). Nectin-1 gene is localized to human chromosome 11q23-q24, and encodes at least two different transmembrane isoforms. Nectin-1 is a pan alpha herpes virus entry receptor that mediates entry of many HSV1 and HSV-2 strains, bovine Herpes virus1 (BHV-1) and porcine pseudorabies virus (PRV). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation (Native): 5-10ug/reaction Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml Flow Cytometry: 5-10ug/ml ELISA: 0.1-1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
