Phospho-enriched protein in astrocytes 15kD (PEA-15) is a death effector domain (DED)-containing protein predominantly expressed in the central nervous system, particularly in astrocytes. This protein has been implicated in the regulation of multiple cellular processes including apoptosis, proliferation, glucose transport, adhesion and migration. Increased PEA-15 levels may affect tumorigenesis and cancer progression, thus it is overexpressed in breast cancers and gliomas as well as in type 2 diabetes. Recombinant human PEA-15 , expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography. Source: Recombinant human PEA-15, aa1-130, expressed in E. coli AA Sequence: MAEYGTLLQD LTNNITLEDL EQLKSACKED IPSEKSEEIT TGSAWFSFLE SHNKLDKDNL SYIEHIFEIS RRPDLLTMVV DYRTRVLKIS EEDELDTKLT RIPSAKKYKD IIRQPSEEEI IKLAPPPKKA Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
