Product Description

Human PDE4B1 (GenBank Accession No. NM_001037341), full length with N-terminal GST tag (MW: 109kD), expressed in a Baculovirus infected Sf9 cell expression system. Specific Activity: Lot-specific. Sample Lot Value: 8532 pmol/min/ug. Unit Definition: 1 unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will convert 1 pmole of 3,5-cAMP to 5AMP per min at 37C. Assay Conditions: 10 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.4, 1mM MgCl2, 0.2mM 3, 5-cAMP substrate and 0.2ng/ul PDE4B1 at 37C for 20 min. Quantitified by 5AMP product ad releasing the phosphate group which is deteted by Malachite Green Reagent. Applications: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
