This plasmin was prepared from Plasminogen by activation with immobilized uPA. Source: Rat plasmin Specific Activity: As Reported Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Plasmin will undergo rapid autoproteolysis in the absence of protease inhibitors such as benzamidine, and should be used quickly after thawing before significant activity losses occur.
